Be The Bridge

Watch THIS promo video to learn more.

Jesus’ prayer for us during His time on earth was, “that they may be one as We are one— I in them and You in Me—so that they may be brought to complete unity” (John 17:22b-23a). The church is to have a transformative response to racism and racial division. This is not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Engage in this important conversation by joining a racial reconciliation discussion small group.

Do you have a heart to help heal racial division in our country? Do you desire to work toward racial unity, but don’t know where to start? Have you ever wondered what the Bible might have to say about racial inequity?

Our Be the Bridge group is a diverse group of people going through a 11-session study on the key steps in the racial reconciliation process: Awareness, Acknowledgement and Lament, Guilt and Shame, Confession, Forgiveness, Repentance, Reparation, Restoration, and Reproduction. Each session involves studying a passage of the Bible, reading background information, sharing personal experiences (and listening to those of others), and prayer. Between sessions, group members are expected to complete educational and experiential homework assignments.

This group will start with three sessions of learning (Aug 6th, 13th, 20th) to lay a foundation for nine following sessions of diverse conversation. These will begin Sept 3rd and meet every other week.

Thursdays - 7:30pm - Zoom
